Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is finally making its way to PC! Insomniac Games announced at New York Comic Con that the acclaimed 2023 action-adventure game will launch on Steam and the Epic Games Store on January 30, 2025. This release will include all updates and content released since the PlayStation 5 launch.

PC players can look forward to experiencing everything that made the PlayStation 5 version a hit, plus more. The PC release will feature all 12 post-launch suits, including variations of the Symbiote suit, and enhanced photo mode options like action figure mode. Both the standard and digital deluxe editions will be available. The digital deluxe edition boasts additional suits, early unlocks, extra photo mode features, and enhanced visuals with improved ray tracing.

Unfortunately, alongside this exciting news comes a slight disappointment. Insomniac confirmed in a PlayStation Blog post that no additional story content is planned for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. Senior Community Manager Aaron Jason Espinoza stated, “While we have no additional story content planned for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, we’re delighted to bring all of our previously released post-launch content to the PC version.”

This announcement contrasts with the previous Spider-Man game, which received The City That Never Sleeps DLC, a three-episode story arc featuring Black Cat, Silver Sable, and Hammerhead, along with new enemies and suits. Spider-Man 2’s narrative leaves several open plot threads, leading many to anticipate similar post-launch story expansions.

Despite the lack of planned DLC, Insomniac’s commitment to the Marvel universe remains strong. Following a ransomware attack that revealed information about future projects, the studio confirmed ongoing development of a Wolverine game and two additional X-Men titles. Leaked data also hinted at future Spider-Man projects, including a potential third game and a standalone Venom title.

This PC release offers a fantastic opportunity for players who missed out on the PlayStation 5 version to experience the thrilling world of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. With all updates and content included, PC players will be able to dive into the complete experience from day one.

While the absence of additional story content might disappoint some fans, the comprehensive package offered in the PC release ensures a rich and immersive gameplay experience. Players can look forward to exploring the vast open world of New York City as both Peter Parker and Miles Morales, battling iconic villains, and mastering their unique abilities. The release of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 on PC marks an exciting chapter for the game, bringing its thrilling narrative and action-packed gameplay to a wider audience.
