Rocket League’s Frosty Fest is back, offering players a chance to escape the winter chill and enjoy some high-octane fun from December 10th to 31st. This year’s event is packed with winter-themed rewards, new lo-fi music, and exciting limited-time modes (LTMs). Jump in and complete challenges to unlock a variety of festive items, including wheels, decals, a trail, and new player anthems.
Festive Rewards and Lo-fi Remixes
Frosty Fest 2024 offers a plethora of unlockable rewards through in-game challenges. These challenges range from playing online matches and scoring goals to earning XP and getting assists. The rewards include:
- Snowglobe Avatar Border: Play 7 online matches
- Frostycat – Duality [LoFi] Player Anthem: Get 20 first touches in online matches
- 1 Import Drop: Get 5 assists in online matches
- Frosted Flannel Decal: Hit the ball 70 times in online matches
- Decennium (Frosted) Wheels: Win 3 Arcade Playlist mode matches
- Frostycat – Glide [LoFi] Player Anthem: Earn 25,000 XP in online matches
- Ice Cold Player Title: Score 40 goals in online matches
- Playock (Frosted) Wheels: Get 50 clears or centers in online matches
- Frostycat – Gold [LoFi] Player Anthem: Win by 2 goals or more in 5 online matches
- Snowball Trail: Complete 7 event challenges
In keeping with the tradition, Frosty Fest 2024 features a fresh selection of lo-fi remixes of Rocket League tracks. Eight new remixes are available, with three unlockable as Frosty Fest rewards and the remaining five available in the Item Shop. Frostycat produced most of the remixes, with one notable exception: the track “Games” by zensei ゼンセー. The Item Shop also offers additional themed cosmetics, including the Gingerbread House Decal and the Ugly Sweater Decal.
Limited-Time Modes and Competitive Gameplay
Frosty Fest 2024 introduces a unique competitive element to its LTMs. The first week (December 10th-17th) features two new LTMs: Split Shot and Split Shot Heatseeker. The most popular mode during this week will continue into the second week, facing off against the returning Winter Breakaway mode (December 17th-24th). Finally, the winner of the second week will be paired with Rocket Labs for the third and final week (December 24th-31st).
A Festive Finale for 2024
Frosty Fest 2024 promises a fun and engaging way to end the year for Rocket League players. The new LTMs and competitive format should provide fresh gameplay experiences, while the winter-themed cosmetics and lo-fi music create a festive atmosphere. While the community’s reception to the new LTMs remains to be seen, the overall event offers plenty of content to keep players entertained throughout the holiday season.
