Rockstar Games seems to be dropping hints about Grand Theft Auto 6 (GTA 6), and they’re using GTA Online as their platform. Recent reports suggest a second GTA 6 trailer is imminent, and in the meantime, Rockstar appears to be teasing eagle-eyed Grand Theft Auto fans with subtle easter eggs. A recent GTA Online promotional image might just contain one such tease, hidden in plain sight.
A user on X (formerly Twitter), TGG, pointed out a Vice City easter egg within the promotional image. Given that GTA 6 is rumored to be set, at least partially, in Vice City – the series’ fictionalized version of Miami – this easter egg could be a clever nod to the upcoming game.
The meaning of the easter egg remains unclear. While it could signal the arrival of a new trailer, as some reports have suggested, that might be a bit of a stretch. It’s also possible that the easter egg is simply a nostalgic wink at long-time Grand Theft Auto fans, with no connection to GTA 6. However, Rockstar Games is known for these kinds of subtle teases, leaving fans to speculate.

With a new GTA 6 trailer anticipated within the next four months, perhaps even before the end of the year, we could see an increase in these types of teases from Rockstar Games. Once the second trailer drops and the official marketing campaign begins, these subtle hints will likely become redundant. Official screenshots, trailers, interviews, and other marketing materials will provide much more concrete information.
As of now, Rockstar Games has not commented on any of the speculation surrounding the easter egg. For various reasons, we don’t expect them to address it. However, if they do, we will update this article accordingly.
