Latest render is knocking me out.” He later admitted he “wasn’t supposed to share” the news, further fueling speculation and excitement. The timing of his posts, just a week before The Game Awards, has led many to believe the trailer might premiere at the event on December 12th.

Following the acquisition of Gearbox Software by Take-Two Interactive from Embracer Group earlier this year, Borderlands 4‘s development was officially confirmed in March. Fans got their first glimpse of the game with a cinematic teaser trailer at Gamescom Opening Night Live in August, an event also hosted by Geoff Keighley, the organizer of The Game Awards. This connection strengthens the possibility of a trailer reveal at next week’s show.

It’s been over five years since Borderlands 3 launched, leaving fans eager for new content. Current speculation points towards a potential summer 2025 release, though nothing official has been announced.
