The upcoming Samsung Galaxy Unpacked event in January is anticipated to reveal the Samsung Galaxy S25 series, but the Galaxy S25 Slim will likely be absent. Despite leaks suggesting all four models might launch simultaneously, emerging evidence supports a second-quarter release for the S25 Slim.
The Galaxy S25 Slim, identified by model number SM-S937, is conspicuously missing from recent leaks. The latest One UI 7 beta lists carrier-specific phone models, including the U.S. variants SM-S931 (Galaxy S25), SM-S936 (Galaxy S25 Plus), and SM-S938 (Galaxy S25 Ultra), as reported by Android Authority. Notably, the SM-S937 is absent, suggesting a separate launch timeline.
This omission reinforces previous leaks pointing towards a mid-year release, possibly around June. This strategy mirrors the Galaxy Ring’s launch, announced in January but released in June. Samsung may employ the same approach for the Galaxy Ring 2, also expected at Galaxy Unpacked.

Analyzing the model numbers, the S25 Slim falls between the S25 Plus and the S25 Ultra. This positioning suggests performance superior to the Plus but below the Ultra. Interestingly, rumors indicate the S25 Slim might boast a more powerful camera system than the base S25 lineup.
The S25 Slim’s existence remains unconfirmed by Samsung, but a January debut for the main S25 lineup seems likely. However, until official confirmation, treat any S25 Slim information with caution. A second-quarter release appears increasingly probable, aligning with Samsung’s previous product launch strategies.
