The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip FE, a budget-friendly foldable phone anticipated to launch in late Q2 2025, is rumored to inherit the same display as the Galaxy Z Flip 6. While details remain scarce, this information offers a glimpse into what consumers can expect from the upcoming device.
The leak comes from reputable display analyst Ross Young, who confirmed on X (formerly Twitter) that the Z Flip FE will feature the same panel as its predecessor. This means the Z Flip FE will likely sport a vibrant 6.7-inch AMOLED display with a crisp 2640 x 1080 resolution, a smooth 120Hz adaptive refresh rate, and an impressive peak brightness of 2600 nits.
This news, however, brings potential disappointment regarding the cover display. The Z Flip 6 retained the same outer screen as the Z Flip 5, and it seems the Z Flip FE might follow suit. This is notable considering competitors like the Motorola Razr Plus offer larger, more feature-rich external displays at a comparable price point.
While the internal display inherited from the Z Flip 6 is a strong choice for a budget-oriented foldable, the potential lack of improvement in the cover screen could be a missed opportunity for Samsung. Even a slight price increase to accommodate a better outer display might be welcomed by consumers.
With the Galaxy Z Flip FE’s launch still several months away, concrete information is limited. However, we anticipate more details to emerge in the coming months.
Initially, the Exynos 2500 chipset was slated to power the Galaxy S25 series. However, production challenges led Samsung to opt for the Snapdragon 8 Elite instead. Similar production issues could influence the Z Flip FE’s processor choice, potentially leading to the adoption of a Snapdragon chip if the Exynos 2500’s production hurdles persist.
