OnePlus is gearing up to launch another phone in its Ace series, the OnePlus Ace 5V, potentially known internationally as the OnePlus Nord 5. This new device is rumored to boast a massive 7,000mAh battery, a significant jump compared to other upcoming phones and current flagships.
The rumored 7,000mAh battery capacity dwarfs those of other upcoming OnePlus devices like the OnePlus 13 and OnePlus 13R, both expected to have 6,000mAh batteries. It even surpasses popular flagship phones like the iPhone 16 Pro Max (4,685mAh) and Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra (5,000mAh) by a considerable margin. With such a large battery, the Ace 5V/Nord 5 could easily last for two, possibly even three, days on a single charge.
Powering the OnePlus Ace 5V is likely the unannounced MediaTek Dimensity 9350 chipset. This chip is expected to rival Qualcomm’s upcoming Snapdragon 8s Elite, the successor to the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3. Rumors indicate the Dimensity 9350 will offer performance improvements over the Dimensity 9300, along with increased power efficiency. Additionally, the Ace 5V/Nord 5 is expected to feature a flat “1.5K” resolution display.
While the OnePlus 13 and OnePlus 13R are expected to be announced on January 7th, the Ace 5V/Nord 5 will launch at a later date. Similar to the current OnePlus Nord 4, the Ace 5V/Nord 5 will likely be available in India, Europe, and Asia, but not officially released in the United States, with North American availability possibly limited to third-party retailers.
