The tech world is buzzing with the iPhone 16e launch, but another significant development is brewing. A recent entry in the GSMA (Global System for Mobile Communications Association) database may have revealed the official model numbers for the upcoming Google Pixel 10 lineup. This suggests the devices are nearing regulatory approval and could launch in approximately six months.
According to a report by SmartPrix.com, the GSMA listing points to at least four distinct Pixel 10 models: the Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro XL, and Pixel 10 Pro Fold. While the Pixel 10A is notably absent, it’s anticipated to appear later in the year.
The leaked model numbers are as follows:
- Pixel 10: GLBW0 and GL066
- Pixel 10 Pro: G4QUR and GN4F5
- Pixel 10 Pro XL: GUL82
- Pixel 10 Pro Fold: GU0NP
Google Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel Buds Pro 2
The registration of these model numbers with the GSMA provides strong evidence that the Pixel 10 series is indeed on its way. Previous rumors hinted at horse-themed codenames for the Pixel 10 series (Frankel, Blazer, Mustang, and Rango), but these model numbers offer more concrete confirmation.
The Pixel 10 lineup is expected to deliver a substantial performance boost, primarily thanks to a new generation of Tensor chips. Reports indicate Google is transitioning to TSMC foundries for the production of these chips, which should result in improved efficiency and performance.
Based on traditional Pixel release timelines, the Pixel 10 series is estimated to launch around six months from now. Given the Pixel 9’s release date of August 22nd, a similar timeframe would place the Pixel 10 launch in the same period this year.
