Panther Lake: The Core Ultra 300 Platform

Known as the “Core Ultra 300” mobile platform, Panther Lake is built on Intel’s advanced 18A process, promising significant performance improvements over its predecessors. It follows the Core Ultra 100 “Meteor Lake” (2023) and the current flagship Core Ultra 200 “Lunar Lake.” Intel is heavily investing in Panther Lake’s success, seeing it as a key driver for their Foundry business.

Architecture and Features

Reports suggest Panther Lake will likely incorporate the Cougar Cove P-Cores and Skymont E-Cores architectures, further enhancing performance and efficiency. A key feature is the integrated Xe3 GPU, codenamed “Celestial,” succeeding the Xe2 “Battlemage.” The Xe3 GPU is anticipated to boast at least 16 cores and deliver up to 180 TOPS of AI processing power.

Manufacturing Partnership

While the Core Ultra 300 utilizes Intel’s 18A process, production is reportedly split between Intel’s own Foundry and TSMC. TSMC is said to be handling the manufacturing of the Xe3 graphics component.

Planned Product Lineup

Intel has outlined plans to initially launch the Panther Lake-H series, followed by Panther Lake-HX and other variations. This tiered release strategy allows Intel to cater to different market segments and performance requirements.
