The much-anticipated One UI 7 update rollout, which experienced an initial setback with a temporary pause, is now back on track for Samsung flagship devices. The update, based on Android 15, is currently reaching Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy S24 users in various regions across Asia, the Middle East, Europe, and the United States.

This resumption comes shortly after the firmware’s initial release in Korea for previous-generation devices like the Galaxy Z Flip 5, Galaxy Z Fold 5, Galaxy S23, and the Galaxy Tab S9 series. Numerous reports on Reddit and the official Samsung Community forums confirm the One UI 7 update’s arrival on Galaxy S24 series phones and the Galaxy Z Fold 6. The update is currently being deployed in regions including India, Pakistan, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, and the Philippines.
Furthermore, users in the US with carrier-locked Galaxy S24 Ultra devices on the Boost Mobile network have also received the update. Similar reports have surfaced from T-Mobile users with Galaxy S24 series phones, as well as owners of unlocked Galaxy S24 and Galaxy Z Flip 6 devices in the US.

Samsung’s initial rollout plan prioritizes the Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy Z Fold 6, and Galaxy Z Flip 6 for the April update window. The rollout will then extend to other eligible devices in the following months. The anticipated schedule is as follows:
- April 2025: Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy S23 series, Galaxy Z Fold 5, Galaxy Z Flip 5, Galaxy Tab S10 series

New Features in One UI 7
One UI 7 brings a refreshed design, enhanced widgets, and the new Now Bar for real-time information updates. Leveraging AI, the update introduces features like on-screen content awareness, Writing Assist, audio eraser, and natural language search within the Settings app.

Significant camera enhancements, initially introduced on the Galaxy S25 series, are also included. The camera app layout has been redesigned for easier access to tools like aspect ratio, megapixel settings, exposure, and filters. A two-tier filter adjustment system allows for greater customization, and users can even create custom filters using AI analysis of saved photos.
One UI 7 also allows for RAW image editing and LOG video capture directly on the device. A new Shooting Assistance Function simplifies access to professional tools such as zebra pattern and false color adjustments.
