This feature supports English, Spanish, Italian, and French, acting as a personal translator, much like the Babel Fish from The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy. Simply activate the feature by saying, “Hey Meta, start live translation.”
Offline Translation and Enhanced Connectivity
One of the most compelling aspects of this update is the ability to use live translation offline. If you’ve pre-downloaded the necessary language packs, you won’t need Wi-Fi or cellular data to translate conversations. This offline capability extends to translating text seen through the glasses, making navigating foreign signs and menus a breeze.
