The Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge’s design is no longer a mystery. After several official teasers and a flood of leaks, we have a solid understanding of what to expect from this upcoming slim smartphone. While the launch date has been subject to conflicting rumors, a new leak provides a compelling indication of when we can finally expect the Galaxy S25 Edge to arrive.
Renowned leaker Evan Blass recently shared an official-looking poster on X (formerly Twitter), hinting at the Galaxy S25 Edge’s launch date. The tagline, “Beyond slim,” perfectly aligns with previous leaks suggesting a thickness of just 5.8mm (excluding the camera bump). The poster also features the date “13 maggio 2025,” where “maggio” is Italian for May.

Given Blass’s accurate track record, the leak strongly suggests a May 13th launch date, corroborating a recent report from South Korea. However, the use of Italian in the poster raises questions. The Korean report indicated that May 13th was the launch date for South Korea only, with other regions following a week later. Blass’s leak implies a synchronized global launch, potentially bringing the phone to market sooner than anticipated.
Expected Specs and Features
Previous leaks and rumors point to the Galaxy S25 Edge featuring the same overclocked Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset as the other S25 models. Remarkably, despite its slim profile, the phone is expected to boast a 6.7-inch AMOLED display. The camera setup appears to consist of two lenses instead of the usual three, suggesting Samsung might forgo a telephoto lens in favor of the 200MP primary camera. To achieve the thin design, the battery capacity might be smaller than even the base Galaxy S25.
A Rival to the iPhone 17 Air?
If the leak proves accurate, the wait for the Galaxy S25 Edge won’t be much longer. Samsung’s sleek new model is poised to compete with Apple’s rumored iPhone 17 Air. We anticipate learning all the official details about this exciting new device very soon.
