The Honor 400 series is on its way! Honor teased the upcoming smartphones in a short YouTube trailer, revealing the design and a headline 200-megapixel main camera. This launch follows the recent release of the Honor 400 Lite, boasting a 108MP camera.

The teaser showcases two distinct models, presumably the Honor 400 and Honor 400 Pro. While sharing a family resemblance with the 400 Lite, notably absent is the side-mounted “AI Camera Button.” This omission is surprising, considering the current trend for dedicated camera buttons, as seen on the iPhone 16.

The silver phone in the teaser, likely the Pro model, features three rear cameras on a curved body. The standard Honor 400 appears to have two cameras and an additional sensor or flash, housed in a flatter, squared-off design, reminiscent of the 400 Lite. Honor emphasizes AI technology in both models.

Further details on the Honor 400 series specifications remain scarce. A teaser shared on X (formerly Twitter) hints at a telephoto lens, water resistance, and an advanced cooling system for at least one model. For comparison, the Honor 400 Lite offers IP64 dust and water resistance, 10x digital zoom, and a MediaTek Dimensity 7025 Ultra processor.

While the 400 Lite utilizes a MediaTek chip, rumors suggest the standard Honor 400 might feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3, while the 400 Pro could boast the powerful Snapdragon 8 Gen 3.

Honor skipped a global launch for the 300 series, but the 400 Lite has already seen release in the U.K. and other regions. With the May 22 launch event scheduled in London, a wider release for the full 400 series, including the U.K. and Europe, is anticipated. However, a U.S. release seems unlikely. The Honor 400 series will compete against popular devices such as the Google Pixel 9a, Samsung Galaxy A56, Nothing Phone (2) and Nothing Phone (1), and the OnePlus 13R.
