Geekom's Snapdragon X Elite Mini PC: A Mac Mini Rival? Geekom's Snapdragon X Elite Mini PC: A Mac Mini Rival?

A leaked image on Weibo reveals Geekom’s upcoming mini PC, powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon X Elite. This marks the first X Elite-based mini PC, following Qualcomm’s decision to abandon its own similar project. The design closely resembles the Apple M4 Mac mini, with a notable exception: the power button is conveniently placed on the front. The leaked image also shows a headphone jack, two apparent USB-A ports, and a potential card reader on the side. However, the rear ports remain unseen. The casing appears to share the Mac mini’s aluminum-style finish and rounded corners.

Like the Mac mini, Geekom’s offering boasts Arm architecture and will be among the first desktop PCs to run Windows 11 on Arm. If its performance rivals the new Mac mini, it could be a compelling alternative for those seeking this form factor with Windows compatibility.

Currently absent from Geekom’s website, the mini PC’s specifications and price remain unknown. However, Qualcomm CEO Cristiano Amon recently expressed intentions to bring more affordable Snapdragon X-powered PCs to market. Whether this mini PC falls within that affordable range is yet to be confirmed.

This new mini PC has the potential to shake up the market, offering a Windows-based alternative to Apple’s popular Mac mini. Its Snapdragon X Elite processor promises significant performance, while its compact design and potential affordability could make it a desirable choice for many users.
