The Vivo X200 series has made its international debut, and the design, particularly the X200’s camera module, is simply stunning. It’s arguably one of the most visually appealing and elegant camera setups ever seen on a smartphone, especially when contrasted with the larger module on the Vivo X200 Pro. Let’s delve into what makes these phones so captivating.
The Exquisite Vivo X200

The Vivo X200’s camera module is a masterpiece. The polished outer ring sits slightly raised from the rear panel, resembling a luxurious watch dial, further emphasized by the subtle clou de Paris embossing around its edge. The most striking feature is the inward curve of the polished rim, perfectly encapsulating the glass camera module within. Running your finger over the surface and around the edge provides a tactile experience unlike any other phone. The way light interacts with the curved edge is also unique, a testament to Vivo’s attention to detail. Instead of resorting to unconventional shapes or jarring lines, Vivo has achieved beauty through elegant simplicity. While many brands boast about “luxury timepieces” in their marketing, Vivo has genuinely captured a similar level of sophistication without even mentioning watches.

Beyond the camera, the 6.67-inch AMOLED “quad curve” screen is another highlight. Curved on all sides and corners, it seamlessly blends into the frame and rear panel, enhancing both comfort and the overall classy aesthetic. While not entirely novel, this design perfectly complements the X200’s compact form.
The X200, despite being the entry model, boasts impressive specifications. It’s powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9400 processor with 12GB or 16GB of RAM, a substantial 5,800mAh battery with 90W fast charging, and IP68/IP69 dust and water resistance. The phone weighs 202 grams and comes in an attractive green color.

The camera system features a 50MP Sony IMX921 main sensor, a 50MP Sony IMX882 telephoto lens, and a 50MP wide-angle lens, all enhanced by Zeiss optics and camera modes. A 32MP selfie camera completes the setup.
The Powerful Vivo X200 Pro

The Vivo X200 Pro, while sporting a different camera module design, still maintains a captivating look. The larger module features clou de Paris embossing on the outer rim, with a brushed titanium upper section. While visually appealing, it lacks the distinct charm of the X200’s module. The X200 Pro also features a quad curve 6.78-inch screen, slightly larger than the X200.
The X200 Pro distinguishes itself with its enhanced camera specifications. A 50MP Sony LYT-818 main sensor with Zeiss optics is accompanied by a powerful 200MP Samsung ISOCELL HP9 telephoto lens. It shares the 50MP wide-angle and 32MP selfie cameras with the X200. Vivo’s V3+ Imaging Chip enhances low-light and portrait photography while boosting efficiency. The telephoto lens offers a 135mm equivalent zoom and an 85mm HD Portrait mode.

The X200 Pro also features the MediaTek Dimensity 9400 processor, paired with 16GB of RAM. The battery capacity increases to 6,000mAh and adds 30W wireless charging to the existing 90W wired charging. Both phones run Vivo’s Funtouch OS over Android 15, incorporating AI features like Circle to Search and Google Gemini integration.
