The Cadillac Lyriq marked a strong start for the brand’s electric vehicle journey. Now, Cadillac sets its sights on the competitive three-row family SUV segment with the 2026 Vistiq. While not the first to market, Cadillac aims to distinguish itself with unique design and cutting-edge technology.
Design and Styling
Set to arrive in 2026, the Cadillac Vistiq blends the XT6’s slab-sided aesthetic with a refreshed version of the Lyriq’s front fascia, affectionately nicknamed “The Mandalorian” by designers. Clever design elements minimize the visual impact of the Vistiq’s tall roofline, and the rear takes inspiration from the iconic Cadillac CTS-V wagon. The result is a substantial, almost Escalade-like presence.

Performance and Powertrain
The Vistiq launches with a dual-motor all-wheel drive powertrain delivering 615 horsepower and 650 pound-feet of torque. Cadillac estimates a 0-60 mph time of 3.7 seconds using the “Velocity Max” launch control mode – impressive for a 6,326-pound SUV. Available air suspension and rear-wheel steering enhance handling, while a road-noise cancellation system mitigates ambient sounds typically more noticeable in the absence of a combustion engine.
Range and Charging
With a 102-kilowatt-hour battery pack, the Vistiq targets a 300-mile range. An available 19.2-kilowatt onboard charger adds 46.7 miles of range per hour, and like other new GM EVs, the Vistiq offers vehicle-to-home (V2H) functionality for backup power. DC fast charging replenishes up to 79 miles of range in approximately 10 minutes, ideal for family road trips. While Cadillac hasn’t confirmed the charging port standard (CCS or NACS), the Vistiq’s launch timing coincides with GM’s planned transition to NACS. Regardless of the port type, an adapter will enable charging at Tesla Supercharger stations.

Interior and Technology
Inside, a 33.0-inch driver display dominates the dashboard, complemented by 8.0-inch touchscreens for both the first and second rows. These control features like the available five-zone climate control and 23-speaker AKG audio system. The Vistiq integrates the same Google-based infotainment system found in other GM EVs, meaning Apple CarPlay and standalone Android Auto are absent. While a front trunk (frunk) is not offered, Cadillac emphasizes the Vistiq’s superior third-row cargo space compared to the gasoline-powered XT6.

Production and Pricing
Production is slated to commence early next year at GM’s Spring Hill, Tennessee facility, the same plant responsible for the Lyriq. Deliveries are anticipated to begin next summer, with a starting price of $78,790. This positions the Vistiq competitively against other premium three-row electric SUVs like the Rivian R1S, Volvo EX90, and Mercedes-Benz EQS SUV.
