T-Mobile is shaking up the home and small business internet landscape with revamped 5G plans, offering more affordable options and enhanced benefits. Starting December 11th, customers can choose from three new plans: T-Mobile Rely Internet, T-Mobile Amplified Internet, and T-Mobile All-In Internet. These plans boast lower prices, particularly for customers with existing T-Mobile voice lines, and incorporate value-added features like cybersecurity protection, streaming subscriptions, and Microsoft 365 access for businesses.

These new plans aim to address the increasing need for reliable and affordable internet access, providing customers with more choices and price transparency. T-Mobile emphasizes a Price Lock guarantee, assuring customers that their monthly rate won’t increase as long as they remain on their eligible 5G Internet plan. This contrasts with some competitors who significantly raise rates after promotional periods expire.

The new plans break down as follows:

  • T-Mobile Rely Internet: Designed for essential home Wi-Fi, this plan costs $50 per month with AutoPay or just $35 per month with AutoPay and a T-Mobile voice line.

  • T-Mobile Amplified Internet: This plan offers faster speeds and enhanced cybersecurity for home users. Small business customers receive a mesh device to extend Wi-Fi coverage. Pricing is set at $60 per month or $45 per month with AutoPay and a voice line.

  • T-Mobile All-In Internet: This comprehensive plan includes all the features of Amplified Internet, plus added entertainment and productivity benefits. Home users get subscriptions to Hulu (With Ads) and Paramount+ Essential Monthly Plan. Small business customers receive two mesh devices, Microsoft 365, and other valuable perks. The price is $70 per month or $55 per month with AutoPay and a voice line.

T-Mobile’s Chief Broadband Officer, Allan Samson, highlights the value proposition of these new plans, stating that they offer more choice, value, and peace of mind compared to competitors who often increase prices after initial promotions. These new plans replace the existing Home Internet Unlimited and Home Internet Plus plans. The previous plans offered unlimited high-speed internet for $50/month with AutoPay, with the Plus option adding faster speeds for an additional $20.

These new plans arrive amidst a year of mixed headlines for T-Mobile. The company faced scrutiny for data breaches affecting millions of customers and criticism for implementing price hikes on legacy data plans.

The T-Mobile Rely, Amplified, and All-In Internet plans are available starting December 11th. Home internet customers can sign up online or in stores, while small business customers can sign up in stores. These new offerings represent T-Mobile’s continued efforts to compete in the rapidly evolving internet service provider market. The focus on value, transparency, and added benefits may attract customers seeking a more comprehensive and predictable internet experience. T-Mobile, the third-largest carrier in the U.S., trails behind Verizon and AT&T. This move positions them to gain market share by offering competitive pricing and appealing features.
