The 2024 Gift of Giving event runs from December 18th to December 31st, giving players two weeks to complete the holiday tasks and collect the rewards. Finding the task list and understanding the requirements of each Dreamlight Valley duty is the first step.
The Gift of Giving seasonal Dreamlight Duties are found in the Dreamlight section of the menu, under the Village tab. Look for the present icon above the event-specific tasks to distinguish them from other seasonal tasks. Some tasks, like “Even Fish Are Festive!”, have progress that carries over from previous years. - Even Fish Are Festive!: Catch all 5 Festive Fish to receive a Santa hat avatar item.
- Do You Wanna Craft a Snowman?: Craft a Snowman at the crafting station and place it in the Valley to earn Festive Candy Ears with Bow avatar item.
- Ho! Ho! Ho!: Craft 10 holiday gifts using Wrapping Paper and gift them to villagers to receive a Pile of Gifts decor item.

Constructing the New Snowman in Disney Dreamlight Valley
This year’s event introduces a new challenge: building a unique snowman. A red chest containing a secret recipe for this snowman can be found in the Plaza. The chest’s location is random and varies from player to player.

While there isn’t a specific Dreamlight Duty for this secret quest, placing the completed snowman fulfills the “Do You Wanna Craft a Snowman?” task.
