Adding to the immersive atmosphere, a digital representation of Game Awards host Geoff Keighley, created using Unreal Engine’s MetaHuman technology, can be found within the world.
This innovative approach to character creation within Unreal Engine, as highlighted in an official Epic Games blog post, allows developers to generate realistic human characters in under an hour. This technology utilizes a cloud-based app with various presets and animation tools. Keighley’s likeness was captured using greenscreen video and integrated into Unreal Engine.
