While access during peak times was a significant initial draw, the core value of ChatGPT Plus lies in its utilization of the GPT-4 large language model.
GPT-4 significantly surpasses the capabilities of the previous GPT-3.5 model. It delivers approximately 40% more factual responses and enhances collaborative capabilities for creative tasks. Furthermore, GPT-4 introduces visual input capabilities, expanded text input and output limits (up to 25,000 words compared to GPT-3.5’s 3,000), and access to internet data pre-October 2023.

Although previously speculated, GPT-4.5 is not currently on the roadmap. OpenAI’s new generative video platform, Sora, is currently in limited testing and shows significant potential. Similarly, GPT-5 is not currently in development.
