Since the Cybertruck isn’t expected to enter mass production for a couple of years, only a limited number are expected to be delivered at Thursday’s event. Recent reports suggest as few as 10 Cybertrucks may be handed over to their lucky new owners. Leading up to the launch, and to further amplify the excitement surrounding the vehicle, Tesla has showcased the Cybertruck at various locations across the U.S., including New York City and San Diego. Tesla has reportedly received around 2 million preorders for the Cybertruck, with a refundable $100 deposit securing a spot in line.

Key Details about the Cybertruck and Delivery Event

Several details about the Cybertruck remain unknown, including its final price. Tesla initially announced three variants priced between $39,000 and $69,000. However, in October 2021, pricing details were removed from their website. It’s anticipated the final prices will likely be higher than initially advertised.
