Tesla CEO Elon Musk made another appearance on The Joe Rogan Experience, arriving in the much-anticipated Cybertruck, set for its first customer deliveries on November 30th. The discussion, fueled by cigars and drinks, touched on the Cybertruck’s unique design, performance, and durability.

Musk described the Cybertruck’s appearance as resembling “computer graphics in reality,” a sentiment echoed by Rogan, who called it the “coolest-looking production car ever made.” Excitement built as Musk teased a “beast mode version” with a sub-three-second 0-60 mph time, promising to unveil additional features at the November launch event.

The conversation shifted to the Cybertruck’s robust construction. Musk confirmed the inclusion of bulletproof steel panels and optional bulletproof glass. He noted that due to the design and glass thickness, the side windows will remain fixed. This led to an impromptu test of the truck’s armor.

Rogan, armed with a compound bow and a broadhead arrow, aimed at the Cybertruck’s side panel. Musk wagered a dollar that the arrow wouldn’t penetrate. The resulting impact left a small dent, proving the Cybertruck’s resilience and earning Musk his dollar. This durability, Musk explained, stems from the simple principle that “trucks are supposed to be tough.”

This demonstration served as a stark contrast to the 2019 unveiling mishap where a metal ball cracked the Cybertruck’s window. Musk later attributed the incident to a prior stress test weakening the glass. Despite the earlier setback, the Cybertruck continues to generate significant interest, with reported pre-orders exceeding two million, each backed by a $100 refundable deposit.

Tesla aims to produce approximately 250,000 Cybertrucks annually, though Musk acknowledged this target likely won’t be reached until after 2024. Final pricing details remain undisclosed and are eagerly awaited by prospective buyers. The November 30th launch event promises to reveal more about this highly anticipated electric pickup truck.
