Bungie, renowned for its revolutionary live-service FPS game, Destiny, is revisiting its roots with Marathon, an exciting new extraction shooter. With a September release date on the horizon, the wait might feel long, but Bungie is offering a chance to play early via a closed alpha test. Securing Your Spot in the Marathon Closed Alpha
Unlike open betas, the Marathon closed alpha requires a few steps for participation. This test, running from April 23rd to May 4th, is exclusively for players in North America aged 18 and above, on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, or PC, with a Bungie.net account.
Steps to Register for the Marathon Alpha
Follow these steps to register for a chance to participate:
Join the Marathon Discord Server
Begin by joining the official Marathon Discord server and navigate to the “alpha_access” channel.
Initiate the Alpha Registration Process
In the “alpha_access” channel, type “/alpha”. A bot will guide you through a series of questions and provide a registration link.
Complete the Registration Form
Click the provided link and sign in with your Bungie.Net account. Select your platform, accept the non-disclosure agreement, and consent to receive emails about the alpha. Answer a few more questions, and you’ll be instructed to monitor your email for further updates.
Await Confirmation
Bungie will start sending out emails during the week of April 18th and continue throughout the testing period. Even if you’re not selected immediately, there’s still a chance to get in later.
Important Considerations
It’s important to note that any progress made during the alpha will not carry over to the full game. Everyone will begin on equal footing at launch.
