Initiating the Giant Stump Quests
The Giant Stump questline becomes available after a specific sequence of events.

Greenhouse Restoration: Complete the Pantry bundle in the Community Center to unlock the greenhouse. The large tree in Cindersnap Forest won’t become the Giant Stump until the greenhouse is functional.

The Storm: Await a random night where an in-game message announces a powerful windstorm hitting Pelican Town. This event triggers the next stage of the quest.

Locating the Stump: Head south to Marnie’s Ranch in Cindersnap Forest. Proceed west until you encounter the large, newly formed Giant Stump, marked by a question mark.

- Hardwood Donation: Donate 100 Hardwood to repair the Giant Stump. Mahogany Trees in the Secret Woods, west of Cindersnap Forest, are a reliable source of Hardwood.
Completing the Raccoon Family Quests
After donating the Hardwood, the Giant Stump will be repaired within a day. A Raccoon will then appear near the stump, initiating a series of eight quests.
- Request 1: Provide five Crab Pot fish (Mussel, Clam, Periwinkle, Cockle, Crayfish, Snail, or Oyster) and one seasonal Smoked Fish. The reward is 25 seasonal crop seeds (Carrot, Summer Squash, Broccoli, or Powdermelon).

Request 2: Deliver one seasonal Dried Fruit and one seasonal Jelly. The reward is the Raccoon Journal, which improves the chance of getting Mixed Seeds when harvesting weeds with a Scythe.
