The upcoming Marvel Rivals Season 1, titled Eternal Night Falls, features Dracula as the central villain. Leaks and rumors about Blade the vampire hunter joining the game’s roster have been circulating, and a new piece of artwork seemingly confirms his presence. While NetEase Games hasn’t officially revealed Blade in a trailer yet, a recent image offers a first look at his in-game model.
Insider Miller Ross shared a sneak peek of Blade in Marvel Rivals. The artwork, intended for a Season 1 gallery, depicts a dramatic confrontation between Blade and Dracula against the backdrop of a besieged New York City. Dracula looms over Blade, seemingly having gained the upper hand. Adding to the scene, the defeated Asgardian monster Ratatoskr lies at Dracula’s feet.
Although this artwork confirms Blade’s presence in the game, his release date remains unknown. Given the focus on Dracula in Season 1, it’s highly likely Blade will become a playable character before the season concludes. If not in Season 1, he’s a strong candidate for the first new character introduced in Season 2.
Meanwhile, the Fantastic Four (Mr. Fantastic, Invisible Woman, Human Torch, and The Thing) are confirmed additions to the Marvel Rivals roster during Season 1, launching on January 10th. Mr. Fantastic and Invisible Woman will be available immediately, while Human Torch and The Thing are slated for release later in the season.
