The recent appearance of three classic Call of Duty titles on the Microsoft Store suggests they might be coming to Xbox Game Pass. The addition of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 to Game Pass in October 2024 was a major event, but many subscribers have been hoping for older entries in the franchise to join the service, especially following Microsoft’s acquisition of Activision. Now, it seems those hopes may soon be realized.

As observed by @CharlieIntel, the original Call of Duty, Call of Duty 2, and Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare have all surfaced on the Microsoft Store for PC. While these games have been available on PC through various platforms over the years, their appearance on the Microsoft Store strongly hints at an impending Xbox Game Pass release. This move aligns with Microsoft’s strategy of making Activision titles more accessible through their subscription service.

Microsoft has yet to officially announce their Xbox Game Pass plans for the latter half of December. If these Call of Duty games are indeed slated for Game Pass, an announcement could come soon. Besides Xbox’s official channels, The Game Awards, rumored to have a significant Xbox presence, could be another potential venue for the reveal.

Currently, Xbox Game Pass subscribers are enjoying another major title, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, available on Xbox Series X/S and PC. Indiana Jones has garnered positive reviews and contributes to a strong finish for Game Pass in 2024.
