The relatively new Pokémon TCG Pocket mobile game is still establishing its rhythm of recurring events. While Wonder Picks, solo battles, and Emblem events seem to be mainstays, the structure of Emblem Events has been inconsistent. Players recently voiced concerns about the difficulty of earning emblems tied to win streaks in versus battles. The latest Mythical Island Emblem Event addresses these concerns directly.
Previous Emblem Battle Events in Pokémon TCG Pocket required players to maintain win streaks in versus battles to earn shiny badges for their profiles. Even the first emblem demanded at least two consecutive wins, leaving many players empty-handed after the event concluded, partly due to challenging Mewtwo EX decks. Regardless of whether players have recovered from that experience, a new Emblem Event has launched in Pokémon TCG Pocket alongside the new Mythical Island booster pack.

The Mythical Island Emblem Event encourages players to participate in PvP battles to earn profile badges. However, the previous event’s win streak requirement is gone. Players now simply need to accumulate total wins to earn the four event badges:
- Mythical Island Emblem Event Participation Emblem – 1 win
- Mythical Island Emblem Event Bronze Emblem – 5 wins
- Mythical Island Emblem Event Silver Emblem – 25 wins
- Mythical Island Emblem Event Gold Emblem – 45 wins
While 45 wins might seem daunting for players who prefer off-meta strategies, it’s a significant improvement over maintaining win streaks. This setup resembles the Genetic Apex Emblem Event, which launched with the first card set, suggesting that different types of emblem events will be in rotation. Alternatively, the developers may have listened to player feedback regarding win streak requirements. Players have ample time to accumulate the necessary wins, as the event runs from December 20th, 2024, to January 10th, 2025.
Mythical Island Emblem Event Missions and Rewards

Along with emblem rewards, the Mythical Island Emblem Event offers additional rewards through missions. These missions, displayed in the emblem event tab of the missions menu, also provide participation prizes for players still refining their strategies.

- Participate in 1 Versus Battle – 3 Pack Hourglasses
- Participate in 3 Versus Battles – 3 Pack Hourglasses
- Participate in 5 Versus Battles – 6 Pack Hourglasses
- Win 1 Versus Battle – 50 Shinedust
- Win 3 Versus Battles – 100 Shinedust
- Win 5 Versus Battles – 200 Shinedust
- Win 10 Versus Battles – 500 Shinedust
- Win 25 Versus Battles – 1000 Shinedust
- Win 50 Versus Battles – 2000 Shinedust
Missions are progressively unlocked; players need to complete lower-tier missions before accessing subsequent ones. With many players eager to open Mythical Island booster packs, the Pack Hourglass rewards are a welcome addition. These missions, like the main event, run until January 10th, 2025.
