Pokemon TCG Pocket players can now claim new in-game rewards. The second phase of the Blastoise Wonder Pick event has begun, offering free items for the next two weeks. These items feature Blastoise and trainer Blue, including card sleeves, a playmat, a Blastoise coin, and a Blastoise icon. Players can obtain these items using Event Shop Tickets earned through daily Wonder Picks.
Claim Your Blastoise and Blue Themed Items
With two weeks to collect tickets, most players should be able to acquire all the rewards. The Blastoise and Blue playmat is the priciest item, requiring 10 tickets. The card sleeves and Blastoise coin each cost 5 tickets, while the Blastoise icon is available for just 2.
These cosmetic items provide a great opportunity for players using Water-type decks to personalize their game without spending real money. It will be interesting to see what the next Wonder Pick event will bring in February, following the Blastoise and Venusaur events. Perhaps we’ll see items featuring Red and Charizard, or maybe something tied to Pokemon Day.
Blue’s Legacy in the Pokemon Universe
Blue, one of the main characters from the first generation of Pokemon games, is Professor Oak’s grandson and the player’s rival. He also inspired Gary in the Pokemon anime. Later, in Pokemon Gold and Silver, Blue took over as the Viridian City Gym Leader. He has since appeared in numerous Pokemon games and spin-offs, including Pokemon Masters Ex and Pokemon Sun and Moon. Blue is frequently linked to Squirtle and Blastoise, while Red is typically associated with Charmander and Charizard.
What’s Next for Pokemon TCG Pocket?
The Pokemon Company has remained quiet about upcoming Pokemon TCG Pocket news. While 2025 has had a quiet start, things might change soon. Last year’s datamines hinted at a new Pokemon card expansion arriving in January. Although unconfirmed, these leaks also correctly predicted the Mythical Island boosters. Fans eagerly await confirmation of this new booster set, hoping for more cards to collect in the coming weeks.
