Dragon Age Day brought a special gift for Dragon Age: The Veilguard players: free cosmetic items inspired by Hawke, the protagonist of Dragon Age 2. While Dragon Age 2 might not be universally acclaimed as the best entry in the series, it holds a special place in many fans’ hearts, largely due to the memorable Hawke. This iconic character later appeared in Dragon Age: Inquisition, and now, their signature look can be adopted by Rook in The Veilguard.
BioWare’s Patch 4 for Dragon Age: The Veilguard, available for download now, introduces a set of cosmetics mirroring Hawke’s default appearance from Dragon Age 2. These items include armor, body paint, and even a blood smear, all equippable by Rook. Players can unlock these cosmetics after completing a specific mission within the game.
BioWare announced, “Starting today, you will be able to get the iconic armor, body paint, and nose blood smear of Dragon Age 2’s protagonist, Hawke, for your Rook.” These cosmetics are a permanent addition and can be found in the Lighthouse after downloading Patch 4 and completing the “The Singing Blade” mission. While these free Hawke-inspired cosmetics won’t drastically alter the Dragon Age: The Veilguard experience, they’re a welcome addition for long-time fans of the series.
