While Paramount has yet to officially confirm a second season, recent reports suggest discussions are underway. A report from Daniel Richtman (via @therealcineor) hints at the possibility of introducing new Sega characters, potentially including Team Chaotix, should the series return.
Could Team Chaotix Join Knuckles in Season 2?
Richtman’s report suggests that Knuckles Season 2 could introduce Team Chaotix, comprised of Charmy Bee, Espio the Chameleon, and Vector the Crocodile. Debuting in the 1995 Sega 32X game Knuckles’ Chaotix, the trio later established the Chaotix Detective Agency, becoming recurring characters in the Sonic franchise. While not as recognizable as other Sonic characters, this makes them perfect candidates for the Knuckles series, allowing the films to focus on introducing more prominent figures.

The Future of Wade and the Whipple Family
The first season of Knuckles centered on Knuckles’ training of Wade Whipple (Adam Pally), highlighting the unique dynamic between the echidna and the Whipple family. It remains to be seen whether these characters will return for a potential Season 2. Notably, Wade’s absence from the announced cast of Sonic the Hedgehog 3 raises questions about his future involvement in the franchise.
A Second Season Still Uncertain
While Richtman is a generally reliable source, it’s important to remember that Paramount hasn’t officially confirmed a second season of Knuckles.
