The newly released Metroidvania title, Venture to the Vile, is now available on PS5 and PS4. PlayStation Plus subscribers can grab the game at a 40% discount until January 2nd, bringing the price down to $14 from its usual $23. This offer applies to all tiers of PlayStation Plus: Essential, Extra, and Premium.
Originally launched on Steam in May 2024, Venture to the Vile has garnered a “Mostly Positive” reception from players, with 72% of 116 user reviews praising the game. While it flew under the radar on PC, its PlayStation release may bring it into the spotlight.
Developed by Cut to Bits and published by Aniplex, Venture to the Vile immerses players in a world corrupted by a mysterious force known as the Vile.

While Infinity Nikki also recently launched as a PlayStation console exclusive for the PS5, Venture to the Vile offers a unique Metroidvania experience unavailable on Xbox or Nintendo Switch consoles, at least for now. This discounted release provides a great opportunity for PlayStation Plus subscribers to dive into a new adventure.
This isn’t the only PlayStation console exclusive released recently. Infinity Nikki also debuted earlier this month, although it’s available on other platforms like PC and mobile, its console release is unique to the PS5. Its popularity is undeniable, boasting over 10 million players. While Venture to the Vile might not reach the same level of popularity, it presents a fresh experience exclusively for PlayStation users.
