The festive cheer continues in Pokemon Go as Niantic unveils details for the second part of its Holiday event. Kicking off on Sunday, December 22nd at 10 a.m. local time and running through Friday, December 27th at 8 p.m. local time, Holiday Part 2 promises new costumed Pokemon, a debut Shiny, and exciting avatar items.
This second phase of the Holiday event introduces Wooloo and Dubwool, both decked out in festive attire. Players can encounter holiday Wooloo in the wild, while the holiday Dubwool can be obtained by evolving Wooloo during the event period. Adding to the excitement is the arrival of Shiny Cetoddle and its evolved form, Shiny Cetitan. Shiny Cetoddle trades its white color scheme for a sleek dark gray, with orange accents replacing the usual pink. Shiny Cetitan follows suit, with black replacing white and orange replacing pink, creating a striking visual contrast. The light gray on Cetitan’s underside and front horns remains, now more distinct against the darker body.

Trainers can also look forward to new avatar items. Marshtomp and Staryu-themed sweaters will be available for purchase in the Pokemon Go Shop, although pricing details are yet to be revealed. A paid Timed Research option for $5 offers rewards such as Incense, a Glacial Lure Module, encounters with holiday-attired Wooloo, and a highly coveted Wooloo Jacket avatar item. This Timed Research expires at the end of Holiday Part 2, so players should act quickly.
Several in-game bonuses will be active throughout the event. Players will earn double XP on all catches and 50% more XP from Raid Battles. Event-themed Field Research tasks, Collection Challenges, and PokeStop Showcases will also be available. Furthermore, starting December 25th, Pokemon Go will launch the “12 Days of Daily Adventure Incense,” extending the Daily Adventure Incense duration from 15 minutes to 30 minutes until Sunday, January 5th at 8 p.m. local time. This provides an added incentive for trainers to explore, especially those in warmer climates or those who embrace the winter wonderland.
In addition to the new Pokemon and avatar items, players can participate in event-themed Field Research tasks, Collection Challenges, and PokeStop Showcases. These activities offer additional opportunities to catch festive Pokemon and earn rewards.
This Holiday Part 2 event concludes on December 27th, giving players a limited time to enjoy these festive additions and bonuses. Be sure to mark your calendars and join the holiday fun in Pokemon Go.
