The next Pokemon Go Tour is set to take players on a journey through the Unova region in early 2025. Kicking off with in-person events in New Taipei City and Los Angeles from February 21st to 23rd, the celebration continues with a global event on March 1st and 2nd. Trainers can anticipate a plethora of content inspired by Pokemon Black and White and their sequels, Black 2 and White 2. A highlight of the event will be the Masterwork Research, offering the first opportunity to catch a Shiny Meloetta in Pokemon Go.
Unova’s Changing Seasons Come to Pokemon Go
Pokemon Black and White introduced the concept of changing seasons, reflected in the varying forms of Deerling and Sawsbuck. Pokemon Go Tour: Unova will incorporate this feature with hourly rotating season-themed habitats: Winter Caverns, Spring Soiree, Summer Vacation, and Autumn Masquerade. This allows players to collect all four Deerling forms without waiting for the actual seasons to change. The event also marks the debut of Shiny Deerling in Pokemon Go.

Explore Unova and Encounter Rare Pokemon
These habitats will be teeming with Pokemon originating from the Unova region, including fan favorites like Snivy, Tepig, and Oshawott. Snapping photos during the event offers a chance to encounter Pikachu wearing the signature hats and visors of the Unova protagonists: Hilbert, Hilda, Nate, and Rosa. Shiny Bouffalant, Shiny Maractus, and Shiny Sigilyph will also be available globally, with a chance to hatch them from 10 km Eggs. Additionally, the Unown letters spelling “UNOVA” will appear in Incense encounters.
Ticket Information and Event Narrative
Tickets for the New Taipei City and Los Angeles events are currently available on the official Pokemon Go website, with an early bird discount currently offered. The global event is free to participate in and features a special narrative concluding the storyline initiated during the in-person events, focusing on the Legendary Pokemon Reshiram and Zekrom.
Could Kyurem Fusions Appear?
The fifth generation of Pokemon games holds a special place in many players’ hearts, making the Unova focus for this Pokemon Go Tour a welcome announcement. Pokemon Black 2 and White 2 notably featured the fusion of Reshiram and Zekrom with Kyurem. Given the introduction of Necrozma fusions in Pokemon Go last summer, Pokemon Go Tour: Unova presents a fitting opportunity for Black Kyurem and White Kyurem to make their appearance. While Niantic hasn’t confirmed this possibility, perhaps more information will be revealed closer to the event dates.
