The rumored Mortal Kombat 1 Kombat Pack 3 roster has apparently been leaked, revealing which fighters were planned before its cancellation. A prominent Mortal Kombat leaker recently asserted that NetherRealm Studios scrapped all planned future DLC for MK1 following disappointing sales of the Khaos Reigns expansion. This decision reportedly axed not only a planned story expansion but also Kombat Pack 3, which would have introduced additional characters to the game’s roster. Now, this same source has disclosed which Mortal Kombat characters were slated to appear in this hypothetical Kombat Pack 3.

Reddit user Fate Unknown, who has a history of accurate Mortal Kombat 1 leaks, detailed the cancelled DLC plans in a recent post. According to the leaker, Kombat Pack 3 was intended to feature six new characters: five returning Mortal Kombat veterans and one guest character. This emphasis on established MK characters was reportedly a “thank you” to dedicated fans. However, it seems this gesture won’t materialize, as Kombat Pack 3 has been shelved.

“The final Kombat Pack was meant to be six characters, five Mortal Kombat and one guest,” Fate Unknown wrote. “Less guests due to a lot of reasons but mostly as a thank you to Mortal Kombat fans for sticking with the game. The Mortal Kombat characters were Jade, Cassie [Cage], Kung Jin, Sonya, and Kano. I do not know the guest but I am told they wanted to get a highly requested character.”

Fate Unknown also alleges that Khaos Reigns‘ underperformance wasn’t the sole factor in NetherRealm’s decision to abandon further Mortal Kombat 1 development. While the additional reasons remain undisclosed, the leaker indicated that many within NetherRealm are “not happy” about abandoning these DLC plans.

Furthermore, Fate Unknown has stated this will be their final MK1-related leak. While their track record of accurate Mortal Kombat 1 information is impressive, it’s important to approach this information with caution until officially confirmed. Should NetherRealm choose to address these reports, updates will follow.
