Niantic has been steadily revealing event details, building anticipation for the new season. The “Just My Cup of Tea” event brings the Black Tea Pokémon, Sinistea, and its evolution, Polteageist, originally from Pokémon Sword and Shield, into the world of Pokémon GO. These Ghost-type Pokémon have already made their mark in the Pokémon Horizons anime, and their arrival in Pokémon GO is highly anticipated by many trainers.

This tea-infused event begins on Tuesday, December 3rd, at 10 AM local time and concludes on Saturday, December 7th, 2024, at 8 PM local time. Sinistea will appear in Raids and as a reward encounter, offering players multiple opportunities to catch it. Evolving Sinistea into Polteageist requires 50 Candies. While the debut of these teacup Pokémon is a major draw, there’s more brewing in this inaugural Dual Destiny season event.

Raid Battles and Wild Encounters in “Just My Cup of Tea”

Trainers can enjoy double friendship bonus damage and an additional 50% Stardust bonus for participating in Raids during the event. This bonus is particularly welcome as many players are still reminiscing about the recently concluded raid feature from friend lists, sparking hopes for its potential return. With the possibility of encountering Shiny versions of these Pokémon, this event presents a fantastic opportunity for Shiny hunters. For those who prefer traditional catching methods, the event also features boosted wild encounters, with several Shiny possibilities:
