Apple has unveiled its “2025 Pride Collection,” featuring a new Sport Band for Apple Watch, a dynamic watch face, and a vibrant wallpaper for iOS and iPadOS. The Sport Band is available for purchase now, while the watch face and wallpapers will be included in upcoming software updates.
Apple has a long-standing tradition of releasing special edition watch bands for Pride Month, spanning nearly a decade. Each year showcases a unique interpretation of the rainbow and multicolored design. This year’s Sport Band embraces a classic approach, featuring bold stripes of color reminiscent of traditional pride flags.
The dynamic watch face boasts a captivating animation with colors swirling diagonally. According to Apple, these stripes transform into numerals when the wearer raises their wrist. However, these numerals aren’t readily apparent in the animation showcased on Apple’s official blog.
The iPhone and iPad versions of the wallpaper offer a dynamic experience, shifting with device movement, locking, and unlocking. These wallpapers, along with the watch face, will be available with watchOS 11.5, iOS 18.5, and iPadOS 18.5. Notably, there’s no macOS version of the wallpaper, consistent with previous years’ releases.
The Pride Edition Sport Band is crafted from durable silicon. Each color is individually mixed before being compression-molded together. Silicon is an ideal material for such a vibrant design due to its easy-to-clean nature and resistance to wear and tear, ensuring the colors remain bright and bold.
This year’s design is arguably the most vibrant Pride edition Apple has released in recent years. The 2024 Braided Solo Loop incorporated darker hues, while the 2023 Sport Band opted for a more understated design with a white background. Even the 2022 Pride Sport Loop editions appear almost pastel in comparison to the 2025 band.
The 2025 Pride Edition Sport Band is available for purchase now for $49. Be sure to look out for the accompanying dynamic wallpapers in the upcoming software updates for watchOS, iOS, and iPadOS.
