The Samsung Galaxy A55 is a reliable phone for daily use, and the upcoming Galaxy A56 promises to elevate the experience with subtle enhancements without a significant price increase. Leaked images have surfaced, revealing the official design and color options for the Galaxy A56.

Renowned leaker Evan Blass has shared images showcasing the mid-range device in four potential official colors: light gray, dark gray, a muted dark green or moss with a chalky finish, and a light pink, a color also seen on the Galaxy S23 and S24 FE. The back panel is anticipated to be glass instead of plastic.

While the overall design remains similar to its predecessor, the rear camera configuration has been updated. The Galaxy A56 features three lenses housed within a single black array, a departure from the Galaxy A55’s three separate camera rings. This design change might be adopted by other A-series phones in 2025.

The frame, seemingly metallic, appears flatter than the previous generation. The distinctive raised section for the volume and power buttons, known as the “Key Island,” remains. The frame also boasts a brushed metal finish, with previous leaks suggesting the use of aluminum. The absence of a side-mounted fingerprint scanner points towards an optical in-display fingerprint reader. Noticeable bezels surround the display, a potential visual differentiator between the A56 and more premium Samsung phones.

Although full specifications are yet to be confirmed, the Galaxy A56 is rumored to feature the Exynos 1580 chipset. The triple rear camera setup is likely to include a 50MP primary lens, a 12MP ultrawide lens, and a 5MP macro lens, mirroring the previous generation. The front camera is reportedly downgraded to 12MP.

The Galaxy A56 is also expected to be the first Samsung mid-range phone to support faster 45W charging, a significant upgrade from the previous 25W. The battery capacity is expected to remain at 5,000mAh. The phone is anticipated to launch with One UI 7 based on Android 15. While Samsung hasn’t officially announced a release date, it’s expected to be among the first A-series phones launched this year.

Following the trend of previous Galaxy A5X models, the A56 might not be released in the U.S. However, in the UK, the Galaxy A56 is rumored to be priced around £440 (approximately $550), a competitive price point for a well-equipped mid-range smartphone.
