Android 15 officially launched on October 15, and the tech world is buzzing with anticipation about which manufacturers will be the first to update their devices. Motorola has recently confirmed that several more smartphones will be receiving the Android 15 treatment, adding to the growing list of eligible devices.

While Motorola hasn’t made any formal announcements about its Android 15 roadmap, the company has subtly confirmed updates by updating support pages for its devices. This latest update confirms Android 15 is coming to the following Motorola phones:

  • Motorola Razr 50s
  • Motorola Razr 40s
  • Motorola Edge (2023)
  • Motorola Edge 40
  • Motorola Edge 40 Neo
  • Motorola Edge 30 Ultra
  • Motorola ThinkPhone 25

Although only the Motorola Edge (2023) is currently available in the U.S. among this list, it’s positive to see Motorola continuing to expand Android 15 availability across its portfolio. In October, a broader range of Motorola phones were confirmed for the Android 15 update, including the Razr (2024), Razr Plus (2024), Edge (2024), and others. Following this initial announcement, Motorola began its update rollout by launching the Android 15 beta for the Edge 50 Fusion.

The expanded availability of Android 15 for Motorola phones is welcome news, but there’s a significant caveat. Motorola has yet to specify when these updates will officially roll out to any of these smartphones. Furthermore, Motorola has a reputation for being among the slower manufacturers to deliver timely Android updates. While it’s encouraging that more Moto phones are slated to receive Android 15, users may still face a considerable wait before seeing the update on their devices.

While we wait, it’s worth noting that the Android 15 update is expected to bring a number of new features and improvements, including enhanced privacy controls, improved notifications, and a more refined user interface. These updates should provide a more seamless and secure user experience across compatible Motorola devices.

Despite the lack of concrete release dates, the confirmation of Android 15 for these additional Motorola phones is a step in the right direction. As Motorola continues its update process, users can look forward to enjoying the latest Android features and enhancements on their devices in the future.
