Oppo, OnePlus’s strategic partner, has launched the Oppo Watch X2 Mini, a smaller and more streamlined version of its flagship smartwatch. This release fuels speculation about a potential OnePlus Watch 3 Mini.
Oppo and OnePlus have been closely collaborating since 2021, sharing resources and technology. The OnePlus Watch 3 and Oppo Watch X2 are prime examples of this partnership, showcasing nearly identical designs and features. The Oppo Watch X2 Mini’s arrival hints at a similar strategy for a smaller OnePlus smartwatch.

The Oppo Watch X2 Mini retains key design elements of the larger Watch X2 but with a refined aesthetic. Available in gold, silver, and black, it features a smaller fluted crown at the 2 o’clock position and a single action button at 4 o’clock. While the asymmetrical design of the OnePlus Watch 3 is absent, the X2 Mini opts for a sleeker, more traditional look with a standard watch band. While OnePlus hasn’t officially confirmed a smaller Watch 3, the company has previously alluded to addressing the single case size limitation. Repurposing the Watch X2 Mini as a OnePlus Watch 3 Mini for the global market seems like a logical step.
