The Samsung Galaxy Ring is receiving significant updates for both new and existing users, focusing on expanded sizing options and enhanced health tracking features. Samsung aims to broaden the appeal of its first-generation fitness wearable with these improvements.
Samsung officially announced the availability of two new Galaxy Ring sizes: 14 and 15. These additions expand the range to sizes 5 through 15 across 53 markets, accommodating a wider variety of finger sizes and enhancing accessibility for potential customers.
Simultaneously, Samsung is launching a major update to its Samsung Health platform, designed to provide Galaxy Ring users with more detailed sleep analysis. This update introduces a comprehensive sleep environment report that examines the impact of temperature, humidity, and external noise on sleep quality. By providing these insights, users can better understand their sleep metrics and make necessary adjustments to their sleep environment for improved rest.
Furthermore, the updated Samsung Health integrates with SmartThings, enabling users to automate their home environment for optimal sleep conditions. For example, users can program their smart thermostats to maintain an ideal sleeping temperature or configure their smart lights to gradually dim as bedtime approaches. In addition to these features, Samsung Health will offer personalized sleep schedule recommendations, promoting healthier sleep habits and helping users establish consistent and restorative sleep routines.

Another valuable addition to the Galaxy Ring is a mindfulness tracker. This feature encourages mindfulness practices and offers insights to enhance mental well-being. It allows users to monitor their moods, breathing patterns, and stress levels throughout the day, promoting a more holistic approach to health management.
The Galaxy Ring sizes 14 and 15 will be available in titanium, black, gold, and silver. Preorders for the new sizes are expected to commence on January 22nd. This date coincides with the anticipated announcement of Samsung’s latest Galaxy S25 series, which is likely to include the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25 Plus, and Galaxy S25 Ultra.
Released in July after months of anticipation, the Galaxy Ring garnered generally positive reviews. Similar to other smart rings like the Oura Ring, this wearable boasts a range of health and wellness features. It monitors heart rate, tracks sleep stages with detailed analysis, and measures skin temperature to provide insights into overall health. It also incorporates an accelerometer for tracking steps and activity levels.
The Galaxy Ring is priced at $400 before any applicable discounts.
