The Samsung Galaxy S25 series and the latest Galaxy A series additions have recently hit the market. Now, anticipation is building for Samsung’s next generation of foldable phones, and the rumor mill is churning with exciting news about the Galaxy Z Fold 7. Reports suggest a significant camera upgrade might be in store for the upcoming foldable flagship.

According to a recent report from GalaxyClub, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 is expected to feature a substantial camera upgrade. It’s rumored to inherit the impressive 200-megapixel main sensor from the Galaxy S25 Ultra, a considerable leap from the Galaxy Z Fold 6’s 50-megapixel sensor.

This potential upgrade would mark the first time a Samsung foldable phone outside South Korea boasts a 200-megapixel camera. It would also effectively bridge the camera performance gap between Samsung’s flagship Galaxy S Ultra series and the Galaxy Z foldable line.

Under-Display Camera Improvements and Other Specs

Beyond the main camera, GalaxyClub also hints at enhancements to the Galaxy Z Fold 7’s under-display camera. While specific details remain scarce, the report indicates a general improvement in performance compared to its predecessor.

Other camera specifications are expected to remain consistent with the Galaxy Z Fold 6. Alongside the rumored 200-megapixel main sensor, the Z Fold 7 is likely to feature a 12-megapixel ultra-wide camera and a 10-megapixel telephoto lens. The front-facing camera is also expected to remain at 10 megapixels.

Potential Launch Date and Other Foldable Devices

While Samsung remains tight-lipped about an official release date, rumors point towards a July launch for the Galaxy Z Fold 7. The Galaxy Z Flip 7 is also anticipated to debut alongside its larger sibling. Intriguingly, there’s even speculation about a potential tri-fold device from Samsung, which could rival Huawei’s Mate X3 if it materializes.
