The Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, featured in the Samsung Galaxy S25 series, introduces ProScaler technology, promising a significant boost in visual quality across photos, videos, and gaming. This innovation, unveiled at the Samsung Galaxy S25 Unpacked event, enhances clarity and accuracy by up to 40%, even in HD Plus and FHD Plus modes.

ProScaler works in conjunction with advanced AI image processing and Samsung’s mobile Digital Natural Image engine (mDNIe) to sharpen photo composition and elevate video quality significantly. Compared to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 in the Galaxy S24, the improvement is substantial, transforming even lower-quality videos.

For mobile gamers, ProScaler offers a notable enhancement to ray tracing, improving it by up to 40%. This translates to more realistic lighting, shadows, and incredibly detailed character features, even when zoomed in. Furthermore, frame rates are boosted by up to 18%, resulting in smoother, more hyper-realistic gameplay.

These visual enhancements are powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite’s performance upgrades, including a 40% boost to the NPU, a 37% increase in CPU performance, and a 30% improvement in GPU capabilities. The 40% larger vapor chamber ensures sustained performance and smoother gameplay without overheating.

ProScaler is available across the entire Samsung Galaxy S25 lineup, including the base S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra, launching on February 7. Pre-orders are currently open.
