TCL has broadened its 60 series smartphone lineup with the introduction of four new models: the TCL 60R 5G, TCL 60 5G, TCL 60 SE, and TCL 605. These new additions join the previously announced TCL 60 XE NXTPaper 5G, offering a range of features focused on entertainment, e-reading, and photography.
The TCL 60 SE stands out with its emphasis on e-reading. Features such as a built-in blue light filter, adaptive color temperature and brightness, and other enhancements make it ideal for comfortable reading, especially in low-light conditions. Integrated AI functionalities provide translation and summarization capabilities, while a robust 5,200mAh battery promises all-day usage.
TCL 60 Series
Both the TCL 60R 5G and TCL 60 5G boast 6.7-inch displays with 120Hz refresh rates, prioritizing an immersive entertainment experience. Dual speakers and efficient batteries aim to provide extended usage for media consumption.
The TCL 60 SE and TCL 605 share a focus on photography, featuring 50MP hybrid cameras and the MediaTek Helio G81 chipset for smooth processing. This combination aims to deliver a capable mobile photography experience.
TCL emphasizes the durability of the new models, highlighting “improved durability with splash and dust resistance.” While specific IP ratings aren’t detailed for each model, the TCL 60 SE has an IP54 rating, suggesting similar protection for the other devices.
Currently, only the TCL 60 XE Nxtpaper 5G is available in North America, priced at approximately $230 USD (based on a $325 CAD suggested retail price). The other models have limited regional availability.
