Fantastical, the popular and premium calendar app, has finally launched a native Windows version, expanding beyond the Apple ecosystem after 13 years. This brings the acclaimed calendar application to a new audience, offering Windows users the same features enjoyed by Mac users.
While a native Arm version for Windows on Arm users isn’t available yet, The Verge reports that it’s in development and expected soon. For now, those users will need to utilize an emulator. Regardless, the arrival of one of the best Mac calendar apps on Windows is a significant event.
Developed by Flexibits, Fantastical initially launched in 2011 and is available across all Apple platforms, including the Vision Pro. Despite user requests, a Windows version remained elusive for years.

This expansion to Windows raises the question of potential Android support. Many Windows users also use Android smartphones, and a calendar app without Android phone and wearable notification support might not justify the $7 monthly subscription fee.
Currently, a free version is available for Windows users to explore. However, widespread paid subscriptions might depend on future Android phone and wearable compatibility.
One of Fantastical’s key features is its natural language processing, enabling event creation through simple text prompts describing the activity and time. Its design is also highly regarded, featuring multiple views, widgets, and customizable color themes.
Windows users can now experience Fantastical’s intuitive interface and powerful features. While the lack of Arm support and Android integration might be temporary drawbacks, the core functionality and design make it a promising addition to the Windows app ecosystem.
