Access Tiers and Model Availability
All ChatGPT users can now utilize the o3-mini model, although access levels differ based on subscription tiers. Free users can activate the model by clicking the “Reason” button within the prompt window. ChatGPT Plus and Teams subscribers enjoy a daily quota of 150 queries, while ChatGPT Pro subscribers ($200/month) have unlimited access. Paid users also benefit from access to o3-mini-high, providing increased computational resources at the cost of slightly slower response times. Access for Enterprise and Education subscribers is anticipated the following week. The o3-mini model is also available through OpenAI’s API starting Friday.
